What's the Difference Between Weather and Whether?

  • Weather refers to the atmospheric condition, while whether introduces a possibility or a choice:
  • "Are you going to the baseball game?"
  • "I don't know yet, it all depends on whether or not the weather is nice."
  • When referencing a castrated goat, impress your colleagues by using the word wether.
